lol. Go in with like 15 copies of any game for cheap and go out with brand new copies of Panzer Dragoon Orta, Crimson Skies and Sim City 4. Too bad there's no gamestops around.

  2. From GameFaqs:

Here is all the information on Resident Evil 2 for GameCube.

-We can now skip in game scenes:
I'm surprised they didn't include this in the Dreamcast/N64/PC versions,
but pressing start in the GC version skips cut-scenes, takes you to a
three second black screen and gameplay is resumed.

-The "Resident Evil 2" voice at the title screen now sounds VERY
    different:
I don't know how this happened, but a new person does the voice, akin to
the REmake of Resident Evil. o_O

    -Strangely, the framerate is jittery:
While not that obvious, the GC game doesn't seem as smooth in animation
as the Dreamcast version, but they're both very close.

-The game looks very polished and cleaned when it comes to character
models, but very low quality when it comes to FMV and backgrounds. :/:
Surprisingly, the character models in the game surpass that even of the
Dreamcast versions. However, it's a surprise that the FMV actually
    wasn't compressed.

    -No EX Files:
This is a disappointment, especially since the EX Files link the entire
story together. Why couldn't Capcom put them in?

    -1 Disc:
Contrary to what Capcom's Rey Jimenez e-mailed me, the GameCube version
is on one medium like the N64 version. The title screen was a surprise.
You first pick a story (Leon or Claire), and then you're taken to the
title screen again. If you have the Dual Shock RE2, it usually says
"DUAL SHOCK Ver." In the GC version, it now says "LEON'S STORY." Same
with Claire. You can get to the other story from the options screen.

    -Controls:
They ripped the REmake controls onto the GameCube version (with the
exception of the auto-turn, which is still absent). This means that Type
C controls are present for those whiners.

    -Sound:
The GameCube version sounds a lot weirder, to be honest. The voices
seemed a little muffled, but surprisingly clear.

    -Availability:
Get these if you get the chance, because Capcom shipped a limited
amount. My local Target sold out of RE2, and sold RE3 for $49.99 (which
is why I didn't buy it yet).

    -FMV Intro:
Leon's intro FMV plays first, then if you wait a few seconds, Claire's
will then play. Sometimes, it's the complete reverse.
Stick to the Dreamcast/PSone versions, don't support this shitty cash-in on release or Capcom will get more stupid ideas.

    That's quite the oxymoron.

Well, here's my chance to finally be rid of Stretch Panic.
    Helloooooo, DMC2.

  4. Is RE2 and RE3 the only GC games availible through this deal? That would be awesome if you could pre-order Zelda through this...

  5. Stick to the Dreamcast/PSone versions, don't support this shitty cash-in on release or Capcom will get more stupid ideas.
I still think the N64 version a.k.a "miracle-cart" of RE2 is the best with the EX files and high res graphics and great alternate control.

But anyways I agree stick with that. The only cool thing would be the fact that you have the entire RE saga minus Code Veronica in one shelf. RE0, RE, RE2, RE3 and soon RE4........and you can play them all in a nonstop marathon to try to piece together the story coherently! YAY!

  6. You're the man Johnpv, I went to the mall today and saved myself 20 bucks on DMC2

  9. So...I can bring in two crap, ghetto priced games; trade them in toward RE2 for $40; and then "return" my preorder for the $40 credit and pick up a different game for $10?! Sweet!!!

You know, it's because of people like me that everyone else suffers.

    Fantavision

I think it is safe to say that anything except the aforementioned 2002 and before Sports games, and wrestling games, will work with this deal.

$20 now gets me Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball and Devil May Cry 2
