I can just get the copy of DOA:XV that I don't want, and then just turn around and return it for something I want like Crimsion Sea can't I? I mean its paid for, I have the receipt. I should at least get full store credit since its not open. I won't need to go to a different store will I. I might get a few, "Dude thats lame." from the clercks, but whatever. They should not make it so easy and legal.

I heard the deal has been altered so the trade-in games have to be ones they can sell for $20 or more. The deal overall is supposed to run to Feb 9th.

Hooray! Now absent from my collection are Armored Core 2 and Silpheed: TLP, 2 games I spent all of $12 on and I now have DoA:XBV I walked in, slapped the games down and the workers looked at me like "ok, what the fuck is this?" I had to inform them about the deal, but not before they felt satisfied after calling the other 3 gamestop locations within the next 2 towns Anyway, as they were calling around, I had some guy ask me why I wanted "Dead or Alive Beach Party" to which I merely answered "I want a volleyball game and don't have a cube" yadda yadda, the guy at the counter said "Hey thanks, I know how I'm getting DoA for $10 tomorrow "

well according to the Email today they cancelled the promotion as they realised every customer and employee was buying cheapo games and trading them in for good games and they realised how much money they were losing so they called it off

Yeah, I just received a call from a good friend claiming they had cancelled the deal at noon today. He was fairly dissapointed that he missed it. All preorders placed before then with the trade-in deal are still being honored though.

Whew, I'm glad I made my DMC2 preorder last night.

They are probably upset because they are stuck with a bunch of piss poor games they bought to take advantage of the offer. All I know is some people in the corporate section of Gamestop are getting their collective asses chewed for not forseeing this.
