Thread: Classic games which have not returned to the limelight...

  1. Classic games which have not returned to the limelight...

We've had multiple opportunities to be graced with Sonic CD with the release of Sonic Jam and even more recently --- Sonic Mega Collection. And what is the result...special footage of the beginning/ending Sonic CD sequences, art assets...but alas - no SONIC CD. I'd would love if not only could we get the original Sonic CD package with all the original music, but a nice bonus which includes the import music (which MANY have declared, including the now defunct GameFan editors to be the best overall). So how many of you still crave this game, or at the very least would love to see it released for the Gamecube in an upcoming compilation package (wishful thinking) or merely as a seperate release?

  2. In light of Sega's continued diss of the game, I say that somebody should put an ISO (or some other copy) online, as well as a link for an emulator. Sega CD doesnt have any sort of copy protection so it aint no thang.

And maybe send Sega an email detailing its location. Maybe then theyll get the message that we would much rather play Sonic CD than Sonic fucking Spinball. Actions speak louder than words after all.

  3. I hated that THQ put Spinball on the GBA Sega Collection.

  4. I would like the original TMNT arcade game along with Simpsons,
Crimefighters, and Sunset Riders on one compilation disc.
They are some of the most popular games on MAME and they deserve a proper 4 player home release. Konami should take the hint.

  5. I have always wanted to listen to the music of the Japanese version of Sonic CD. someday.

Great, you just made me drool on my keyboard. I missed the whole Sonic series since I only acquired my Genesis this summer. I feel like I've missed a giant chunk of gaming history.

  7. Well, Sega has released and re-released the PC version of Sonic CD many times over the last few years. You can probably pick up a 3 pack of Sonic CD, Sonic R, and Sonic & Knuckles for PC at just about any office store like Staples (Bureau en Gros), Office Depot, or Office Max for about $5.

  8. Dracula X. Dracula X rereleased for the PSX is about as obvious and natural as anything. Konami really dropped the ball IMO, I don't think the "window" is really there anymore. It probably would have sold a lot more than Chronicles did, especially if promoted as "the prequel to SOTN".

  9. I am still eagerly awaiting an arcade-perfect release of TMNT: The Arcade Game to hit the consoles again. But is Konami listening???? No.

I would love that Star Wars: ROTJ arcade game too. I actually like that. I believe Atari made it

  10. I'd love a Road Rash collection with Star Riders included. I never did get to play that laserdisc game.
