Question on the DC GD-Rom unit

When you switch one of these out does it include the part that actually spins the Disc itself

i recently acquired a free DC because it doesnt work but it seems the only thing wrong with it is that it doesnt spin the discs any more


and im just wondering if i swap out the GD-rom unit if it also repalces the disc spinner

it may be the spinner. Does it still show the menu when you turn it on, because it'll likely just need a new part and you'll be running in no-time!
