Thread: Mame for DC?

  1. Mame for DC?

Check it out over on dcemulation.com. Think the DC can handle it?

  2. It can handle games which are under around 12 megs unzipped. It loads the entire game into ram without any caching. It sucks for Neo Geo games but works for older games.

It could probably handle Final Fight. It probably drops frames all over the place though.

  3. I've tried messing around with it here and there, and it's very buggy and generally more of a pain to use than anything. I support homebrew projects for the Dreamcast like this, but it still has a long way to go.

Like NESterDC, the first few releases showed far from perfect emulation and a shoddy framerate, but another year or so of work was put into it and now it's nearly perfect.

I messed with it a bit, but never got it to work.

I'll check back in on it in a year or so.

  5. There also seems to be a System 16 emulator for Dreamcast in the works Looking forward to that one.
