Animatrix Episode 1

It's out, http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/index_anime.html - I'm not one who likes anime very much, but this looks pretty good so far. If you don't know, it's a prequel to the entire matrix thing, before the robots took over the world and used people as an energy source.

Yeah, I just sat through it twice, and I'm chompin at the bit for part two.

The Animatrix DVD can't get here soon enough.

I enjoyed what I saw so far. The story and artistic style definitely has shades of Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis.

Yeah, a very nice style to it. I loved it. Especially when that robot spilt that guy's head open.

Well, I had to debate whether to put it on the movie board, or the anime board. Since it has to do with the Matrix so much, I felt it would get the better exposure on the movie boards. And that's where it went.

good start for bringing us up on it's history. Now is the franchise supposed to end with a man and robot "hand in hand" type of situation?
