Cool, I managed to hijack this thread for two whole pages.

Honestly, some of you folks need to yank the stick outta your keisters. I stated what I believe to be the truth. If you don't agree, fine. Some of you made it sound like I was condemning your penises to hell for getting hard or something.

Whatever happened to people having faith in God and doing what is right because the bible and God are the Truth? Though the bible does talk about fearing God a lot, I do not recall it talking about all salvation and truth springing from that fear. If I recall it has more to do with God being the very essence of Love and Truth, but hey that is just me, I could be wrong.

God is all loving, all merciful and all forgiving, but he is also holy, righteous and just. Just because a person is born again and a member of The Family doesn't give them leave to run buck wild. God will discipline His children when it's required, just like any right thinking father on earth will discipline his children when they do wrong. For some folks fear is what keeps them in check of their own behavior, other more mature folk don't need that type fear hanging over their heads. They obey God's will purely out of respect (which is what the word "fear" means in the Bible).

To respect God is to respect yourself because the body is the temple of God's Holy Spirit. These silly children have no respect for God because they obviously have no respect for themselves.


As for the Boobi Roomi avatar. There is nothing wrong enjoying the sight of boobs. Lusting after them uncontrollably is one thing, but simply enjoying the form and appearance of them is no sin. If it were, we'd all be hellbound from age four.

Indeed they can, but the odds of such are dim and remote without some training in godly principles. The fact that a large portion of our laws and the most ingrained of our societal moral dogmas are based in, on, or through the Bible should mean something.

Mainly that wether you believe in God or not. In this country, the Bible influences much of the way people choose to live their lives.

I'm not so full of myself that I think only those of my faith can be moral and good people. Some the of the most bankrupt and conniving people I've had the displeasure of knowing called themselves "Christians" and many people I know without a malicious bone in their bodies are stalwart atheists.

Yes, they really need the Christians to come to the rescue. I'm sure if you leave enough of your highly moral priests over there, everything will be just fine.

We don't need priests, we need Spirit-filled, Bible-teaching, Jesus-preaching men and women of God to win over the minds and hearts of the masses.

Honestly though, there is a big difference between those two emotions. When you respect something you want to tip your hat to it, and maybe even try to be like it. If you fear something you usally want to kill it or get the hell away from it. There is a difference between terror and admeration.
