I was being objective. I made a case for and a against there being a God. I even stated that it agreed with OTHER texts other than the Bible. I have no idea why you asked me "so what" for.

  2. I think about this kind of stuff all of the time.

I think that there has to be some kind of plan going on. Its far to much of a coincidence.

I think a novel idea is that in the future, we master the ability of time control along with other sciences, and with these new abilities we go back in time and create earth.

  3. If you really think about it people more then likely made up God to explain why water falls out of the sky, crazy cave men.

  4. I was raised catholic, so Im now an agnostic.

I despise orginized religon and using "God" as an excuse to do horrible horrible things that have been done in its name.

If there is/was/whatever such a being, I don't think "it" going to send you to a nasty horrible place in hell for eternity for eating meat on a friday. Or wearing a mini-skirt in public. Or eating Pork. Or failing to pray every 3 hours.

Think about it this way, you have the power to create life and existance, are you really gonna care with Bill Smith in Bumsville Iowa or Mohamed Ackbar in Kabul is doing every waking minute if thier lives? Hell no, I'd be cruising around in a bitchin' Camaro.

  5. I dislike the concept of a higher being. I think my spirituality is best defined as a belief in the energy generated by the daily interactions of humans and animals.

    Hmm...I like that.

  7. I suppose that this belief might stem somewhat from a rebellious nature, I don't like the thought of a deity being the primary focus in my life rather than myself. I think, however, it would be ignorant to ignore the fact that there are some spiritual situations and very spiritual people. So, that all in mind, I think that every daily interaction that people have with people, animals, or even inanimate object, generates an energy. This energy from interactions and relations creates the only god I really beleive in. (I suppose this is just a long-winded version of my initial post but, here you go)

  8. As I said, I like that. I really don't believe in much of anything but I can certainly apreciate being spiritual when it comes to nature as opposed to a deity.

  9. The unanswerable, or at least badly answered question of "Why do bad things happen to good people?" pretty much stops me from believing in any god. Calling it "God's will" or the "Work of the devil" is a terrible excuse for the deplorable things that can happen to good and innocent human beings.

Out of body experiences, like Gamevet mentioned, are the only paranormal experience I find remotely close to evidence for any god/afterlife. And even those are hard to defend against notions that its just the hallucinations of a dying brain with nerves shooting out a confused overload of sensory information to the eyes. However, I still remain unconvinced of either answer at this point.

Besides what exists beyond life, life itself has proven to be a pointless exercise that only is given meaning to the individual experiencing it. And life leaves no clue or provisions for death for those living. A god that created/controls what happens is completely subjective and does not pertain at all to the everyday life of a living creature. And therefore gives me little reason to bother believing in something which has no meaningful physical presence in my life.

  10. Right on! Like I have been saying, you find out when you die. Maybe.
