    Happy Frickin Valentine's

Well, Friday is February 14th--Valentine's Day. The time of year for candy hearts, lingerie and perfume.

So what are you... are you one of those who go all-out buying presents and such for their one and only, or do you feel it's more of a florists' holiday, meant to increase sales of flowers and cards?

  2. I hate that holiday so much.

    pink red and white... *gags*

it is a florists holiday completely.

  3. My ex and I hated Valentine's Day. She always said that it was too lovey-dovey, and stupid. I agreed, especially since it got me out of having to buy her stuff for it. Her b-day is only two weeks away from it anyway, so it'd be pointless.

  4. Valentine's Day is a tool of oppression and repression of the stand-alones by the non-singles. Thus, it is an evil holiday and must be ignored.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking, too. In case you couldn't tell by the "frickin"

  6. Know what's funny?
Not only is this Friday Valentine's Day, but also 10 months with me and my girlfriend. It's corny x 2.
Still don't know what the hell to get her, though...

Personally, I feel Valentine's Day is over-rated, and has simply become a mere excuse for retailers to try and make more money. It is a good chance to spend some time with the one you love, and remember the value of your relationship, but all of that commercialisation of the occasion really does put a sour taste in one's mouth.

  10. commercialism has tainted every holiday really.
