Well, Friday is February 14th--Valentine's Day. The time of year for candy hearts, lingerie and perfume.

So what are you... are you one of those who go all-out buying presents and such for their one and only, or do you feel it's more of a florists' holiday, meant to increase sales of flowers and cards?

My ex and I hated Valentine's Day. She always said that it was too lovey-dovey, and stupid. I agreed, especially since it got me out of having to buy her stuff for it. Her b-day is only two weeks away from it anyway, so it'd be pointless.

Personally, I feel Valentine's Day is over-rated, and has simply become a mere excuse for retailers to try and make more money. It is a good chance to spend some time with the one you love, and remember the value of your relationship, but all of that commercialisation of the occasion really does put a sour taste in one's mouth.
