Galerians

I've been semi-interested in Galerians since the original came out, and now that I've forgotten about it long enough to realize the original is really friggin' cheap, I'd like to ask some opinions on it.
...so... are there any?
There better be. I'd start to get worried about this board if nobody's played a game in which the main character attacks by popping the baddies' melons.

And what of the sequal? Worthy as well?

I can't say anything about ASH as I have no intention of ever playing it. ever.

no.. i bought this game for 20 bucks.. when it came out.. and it sucked.. i sold it the next day..

Well, if I see it for cheapos, I'll pick it up and add it to the pile.
This selection of threads, though, has kept me from spending more than a coupla bucks. For that, I am glad.

Well, It was an Ok horror game, and ESP premise, and use of the powers in the combat, was interesting. I picked it up used, for about $15 or so, and thought it was a decent purchase.

Sequel supposed to be an improvement over the original, but still not the best game horror genre got to offer. I will try to rent it, when I'll have some free time.

Galerians is in the same survival horror quality category as Blue Stinger, Carrier, and Extermination. That should be all you need to know.

I didn't like the original. The fact that you had to stand still and charge your attacks for a second or two every time you wanted to attack while you were getting your ass kicked by your enemies who never had to charge anything kinda killed it for me. I hear the sequel is the same in that regard. Stupid design decision...
