After waiting 15 to 20 years (I think) the wait is almost over.
Taking it one day at a time.

It hasn't been THAT long...Robotech titles were developed for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation a few years back. Whether everyone found them to be really entertaining is another story...

  4. I still like Macross M3, even though I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Had the graphics been better, the slowdown removed, and the battleroid mode fix, it would have been a great game. From screens and movies, Robotech looks like it will play a lot like M3, but I'm still worried about the pacing.

And the GBA version looks like ass, but I don't care about that one.

Shoot...stupid me, Macross was what was developed before. Though I know there are SOME similarities...I got all quick on the draw by saying that Robotech games were made.

I would count the Macross games in my situation too, but they don't count for me personally since I've never been an importer. The most I have gotten is a Demo disk for the canceled Macross VFX 2. Now a real game finally comes to the US.

  7. Since this 'Robotech' game only includes the Macross saga, I think it counts, and it'll actually be less complete as a Macross game because it won't include valkyries from Macross Plus, which were in M3 and were a lot of fun to use. Here, it looks like all you get is one 'veritech' design and that's in. Maybe you'll be able to switch sides at some point and pilot a battle pod or a plain old destroid. That would be cool, but haven't seen any screens to show that.

I would have loved to see a game that includes the mecha from Mosepeda (the 3rd part of the Macross Saga) and even some of those transforming hover tanks from 2nd Saga, but that probably would have been just too much for one game. Maybe for a sequel.

Yeah. I know what you mean. I hope when it's done you can choose different veritech like the GBA version where you can play with Rick, Max, Miyria, or argh.... I forgot the guys name... but either way that would be a little variety.

  9. But they all use the same model veritech so that's really just a cosmetic choice. I want to have models with different options like M3 had, like one with better armor, another with better missiles, etc. At least some variation. It was one thing that M3 really did well.

for me this game has what I want (I don't care for the others robots) and I’m with Brotherman, the wait is almost over for those who have never play a Robotech/Macross game (like me)

P.S the Valkyries are the best mech in all Macross universe
