Thread: photoshop tips..

  1. Eh, I never found Fireworks or PSP to be as good as Photoshop, but they're both nice programs. Especially for the price.

  2. Nemo: It will suffice for what these kiddies want to do; although, they probably can't afford even Fireworks. Maybe they should use GIMP on Linux.

  3. If somebody will take the time to learn linux...get it installed, running correctly, all just to use GIMP...

They have earned the right to download a warez copy of Photoshop imho.

/me doesn't even know how to take one image and make it part of another image. Do explain..please.

  5. GIMP exists for windows, ya know.

  6. Gimp is no Photoshop IMO not by a long shot.
    o_O

  7. GIMP is definitely not Photoshop.

Though it is as good as it gets for free.

Can you be a little more descriptive?

If I'm reading what you're asking, it's not even something to write a tutorial about.

You just open two images and then drag (using the move tool, pressing V on your keyboard) one image onto the other.

    That's really it.

If it doesn't work right away there could be a few reason (namely the color mode the two images are set to, Gifs for example are Indexed color where as Jpegs are not. Just make sure everything is RGB. Do that by going to Image>Color Mode).

  9. Posts excellent, Blaine.
