I've got that exact action replay, and it works great for D&D Collection, which is the only cart-supporting game i have right now...
Backing up saves and playing Imports has worked just fine as well
a weirder, more obscure game that supports (but does not require it) is sunsoft's astra super stars.
it's a cute fun game. i picked it up toward the tail end of saturn because i liked the logo. i am not kidding. it's related to the wakuwaku7, galaxyfight stuff. i don't really understand how that "series" works.
ASS (ha!) also works with the 1m cart or without any cart at all.
it plays kind of like you'd imagine a DBZ game might if it were fun. =) you are always floating in the air, you dash around and beat the snot out of one another, with wacky moves. it's neato.

I need to replace the battery that's currently in my Saturn. What kind of battery is it?Originally posted by Tain
Nope, you can't save directly to the cart.
That's the only problem I have with it, and hardly a reason to pass it up.
CR2032, same as the DC VMU.
actually i prefer to play Marvel Superheroes without the extra animations that the cart offers, seems to slow down the game some. also i only play on the shuma gorath bg, least sprite animation. I wish that port had the polished feel of the Xmen vs. SF port.Originally posted by Yoshi
The Japanese versions of Pocket Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes are both allegedly enhanced by the 4 MB cart, though it is not necessary.
Other 1 meg supported games include:
Groove On Fight
Waku Waku 7
Cyberbots
I believe there was a strip mahjong game, Super Real Mahjong P7 I think, that also supported the 4 meg option.
AFAIK, using a RAM cart with Cotton 2 will get you some extra sounds.Originally posted by mikey
Isn't Cotton 2 compatible with the 1MB and 4MB carts? I think it only uses 1MB in either case.
Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
Steam Hearts and Welcome to Pia Carrot 2 also use 4MB cards in some way...
Seems weird that such a similar device could easily be made for PS/2 and yet nobody even tries.
Seems like someone forgot Astra Superstars (but that game is forgettable alright).
where would you put it tho?Originally posted by dog$
