Thread: Anti War Protesters showing their brains...

  1. Paragraphs!

  2. Heh, I speak 5 languages and understand 6.
Im sure Spacecowboy here is multilingual as well.
You cant expect us to be fluent in every single language we have mastered.

  3. It's like I'm addicted, I swear, this is the last time I post on this thread.

By that he means a lack of enough aid from foreign countries to cover the entire bill for the U.N.'s feeding of Palestinians.

Israel in breach of human rights in the teritories: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/1693125.stm
This is Almaci's language for a "An international conference" claiming that Israel was making "grave breaches of the humanitarian terms of the 1949 conventions."

Amnesty International asks for International observers, Israel as ussual denies: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/1653485.stm
The Israelis have asked for US observers, by the way.

Israeli arabs prohibited from buying Israeli property so it Jewish character maintains: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2115857.stm
Good God, Almaci, shame on you. The title of the damn article is "Arab ban proposed in Jewish areas", and you describe the event as if it had actually occurred? Are you trying to make yourself look bad? Has the bill passed Parliament? (Hint: no) Will it pass Parliament? (Hint: no) Am I surprised that the BBC attempted to camoflauge the fact that this was a bill started by and only supported by the extreme Israeli right wing? (Hint: no)

Political trials to curb non Jewish parties: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/1845530.stm
Almaci's version of a trial regarding an Israeli Arab politician who voiced support for the Palestinian cause while standing directly next to Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, who happens to be the LEADER OF HEZBOLLAH (you know Hezbollah, right?)

Putting a politician in jail for three years seems pretty steep, but, still, what would your reaction be if you saw Al Sharpton standing next to, I dunno, Charles Manson (is he still alive?) while he decried the death penalty?

Jailing soldiers who refuse to partake in illegal operations in the teritories: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/1841932.stm
These are soldiers EMPLOYED BY THE ISRAELI ARMY. Their job is to do what the army tells them to do. If the army tells them to operate in the territories, then that's what they should and will do - and the BBC article doesn't say anything about the "illegal"ity of the operations...what, is that a "belief" I see?

These are BBC, good enough for you?

Do these count as legit and credible links to underscore my arguments?
These articles don't underscore shit other than your willingness to pervert the truth to support your screwed-up beliefs.

(I guess if Almaci is going to try to pull the Ugly American thing on us by mentioning his linguistic skill, then I can feel fine mentioning that I can read 5 languages, too.)

(spacecowboy: about 3 years or so ago, my political beliefs were different ("stupider" might be a better word), and at the time I was also somewhat unzionist...at least unsure. My relatives and I weren't any less Jewish - what bias?)

  4. Stone, you're kinda reaching now. I can speak English and Farsi fluently, and have limited, but decent ability in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. I don't know what that has to do with anything, but I guess I'll just follow the precedent.

You haven't been reading Stone or Carter's posts then.

Because Ali made an effort to mention how many languages he knows; how that gives him more credit or makes him 'better' than someone who knows one is beyond me. He mentioned you too, saying you'd probably know 3 or more.

On a related note, I know 3, but am fluent only in English =p

  7. Urm Hero, im not saying that makes me better or anything, I just mentioned that becouse some people were complaining about the way my posts are build up.

Oh and Stone you REALLY are reaching now.

Is there a humanitarian crisis yes or no?
Is a politician jailed for his political beliefs yes or no?
If the IDF orders a soldier to shoot dead a baby, with youre reasoning the soldier should just shoot the baby without questioning is that what youre saying?
Doesnt the IDF allow for refusal of service on moral grounds yes or no?
If so why arent these soldiers allowed to invoke that right becouse they feel Israel has no moral and legal right for the operations in the teritories?
I provided a link, where is youre link with Israel asking for US observers?

Seriously man, you attack me and cowboy for bringing in belief over fact and al youre doing now is trying to discredit the links I brought forward by using rhetoric and belief without a shred of backup from anything with substance.
News and FACT as wel as BELIEF seems only credible to you when it fits YOURE needs and biases, everything else you diss as being non factual or single events that dont matter in the bigger picture.

The first time I read that I read "Shoot a dead baby".

Then I felt stupid as I asked myself why anyone would be ordered to shoot a dead baby. They don't usually pose much of a threat, even when alive, but especially dead.

Hero, annything to diss a Democrat right.
    Man youre oportunistic.
Much like the Bush before him and probably the Bush after him Clinton should be in jail for crimes against humanity.
Under his presidency the US declined an offer by Sudan to have Bin Ladin extradited to the US and on his order a Sudanese medicine factory was attacked and demolished to cover up for some blowjobs.

yeah yeah yeah, whatever, I was trying to make a point.
here come the grammar police again.
