exactly... but I bet you could get them off EBAY for about ten bucks and make a hefty profit down the road... or a small profit, one of those...

  6. what kind of setup is it going to be? are you going to have access to display cases (like at jewelery/trading card shops)? the only flea market around here (the good ol 'Swap Meet') is pretty crummy. unless you have several people watching your items, others might make off with your stuff. so a word to the wise: keep an eye on your shit. and if small items (such as CD cases) arent under lockdown, keep all the discs in a cd-wallet and hang on to it.

ive been meaning to go down to the flea market since i got my license.... maybe ill make a voyage there tomorrow.

  7. Where do you get your inventory from?

  8. Using a Game Doctor to fix CDs for others is a goldmine. A friend of mine used to always fuck up DC games, so he'd pay me $5 to doctor his disc. He figured it'd be cheaper than going out and buying a new copy of the game, which was fine logic in my book. This was back when DC games were $50.

Hope this ends up working out for ya, Shinobi! When I lived in Dallas, there were some years I thought about renting a small space at A-Kon (big, annual anime convention of the south) and selling anime DVD/VHS and import games, just to see if anyone would bite. Never got around to doing it, though.

Here's to our idea taking off!
    omg TNL epics!

I'm not totally sure yet. I'm still weeks, maybe a few months from opening up. (I have to gather enough stock first) As of now I plan to have smaller carts (game boy mainly) under locked glass for sure. I'll start looking around for display cases.

Garage/Yard sales, flea markets, bums, pawn shops, whatever or whoever gives me a good deal.

Sooner or later, I'm going to put an AD in the paper saying, "I WANT YOUR VIDEOGAMES!!!!1 OLD AND NEW"
