Fighters, all the way. There's just something about the characters, the animation (2D or 3D), the strategies, and the mythology, if you will, of fighters that always appeals to me.

A simple question, really. Which genre do you enjoy playing most?
And yes, we all know that most of us here play everything and enjoy everything, but the point is to pick a favorite.
RPGs changed what I thought a game can be and do, and a good RPG can capture me like no other type of game can, so that's my favorite.

I picked adventure (hopefully you're not referring to the PC point-and-click games). I like the genre because it covers a lot of my favorite subgenres- platformers (Mario 64, Castlevania:SotN, Conker's BFD), action/adventure (Ocarina of Time), and first-person-adventure (Metroid Prime, Dues Ex). So basically it's a cop-out.

I dunno, I guess I'd have narrow it down to either FPS, racers, RPGs, platformers, RTS, or fighters... yep.
I just realize that a few important genres got left out of the poll (strategy, racing) but I suppose there's no way to fit them all in a poll with a max of 7 options. Oh well. =/

I don't want to vote...but as I'm a story whore...it'd have to be RPGs...so long as I get sRPGs, Action/RPGs, CCGs (hey, they play like freaking RPGs, OKay!!), and Pokemon.

Damn, tough choice. I like all that's listed there (Puzzle and Fighting to a lesser extent), but I think it's a tie between Shooter and RPG.
Meh, I'll go with RPG since I'm not the best shmupper, skill-wise.
