Newtechnix is saying MGS confirmed for GC. I don't believe yet but you can make your own judgements.

If true, it'd be cool. I'd heard rumors of it a while back.

If it's simply Substance or Sons of Liberty ports, then forget about it. If it's a new Metal Gear coming to the Gamecube then I'm all for it.

I bet Nintendo shilled out some cash or had a good business proposal for them.

It sounds like the original MGS. The rumors I'd heard earlier were fanned also by the confirmation of some actors for an MGS1 remake project.

Must be something being considered. Konami has not officially mentioned anything...and why would they? Any remakes seem pointless at this point.

I hope it's a remake of the original MGS a la RE Remake for GCN. A lot of new content, plus an 128-Bit graphical overhaul. The original is alot better than the sequel, so I'm hoping for that.

If so, I would definately pick it up. Maybe they even add some extras like in REmake.
