Thread: Going to the 3/15 Anti-War Protests?

  1. i can only hope for mass riots.. when they start attaking..

  2. i dont agree with the whole war thing, but i dont agree with the protesters either.

yeah, this whole war is wrong. but its not like Bush WANTS to kill children or civilians. i dont think hes that cold hearted. Dubyah is just a little angry at Sadam for trying to kill his dad

civilian causalties are bound to happen. you cant make an omlette without breaking a few eggs.

i really want to go to a protest and protest the protesters. or go and hold a sign that has nothing to do with the issue, like "Honk If You're Horny"

It's located up top there. The leftward arrow with "back" under it. I think I'll be clicking it right now.

If you were in Minnesota, I'd come and join you. That is a great idea.
bastard of the new world order.

  6. I want peace so bad, Rags Jr. can feel it...
    omg TNL epics!

  7. Most anti-war protesters that I've met are so despicable that the only way I'd show up to one of their rallies would be if I brought several canisters of tear gas. Not that most of the pro-war people are any more likeable, though. :P

  8. My experience with the protestors is that they're confused, but good-natured. Rallies are kinda like block parties... 99% aren't there to be violent, and most of them aren't trying to be assholes about protesting.

Ehh, that's not really what I meant when I made my crack about protesters. Most of them aren't violent (either too weak or too scared to be unless they have about 20 of their buddies behind them), but if you say that you're not opposed to the war (as in neutral, not necessarily for it) they automatically label you a monster. Not my idea of people that I want to be associated with.

What I wonder is, where were these people when Kosovo and Afghanistan were going on? Too busy trying to save the whales? :P

I don't think these protests are going to do a bit of good anyway. We're already so far in this that either some miracle will happen and Iraq will get scared into surrendering, or the war will happen. We're in a no-win situation in terms of international PR; we'll look bad if we attack and we'll look bad if we don't.

As far as my attitude in general, I don't think any good can come of any of this, but there ain't shit I can do about it either way, so I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
