Thread: Greatest console boot-up sequence?

  1. I really like the GC one. And the Neo-Geo one. And the Dreamcast one.

I have to say I never liked the US Saturn one. Really pretty ugly.

  2. Dreamcast...
Freedom is a road seldom travelled by the multitude...

  3. Hmmmmmmm

I now realize that I don't care about boot-up screens. Comix Zone is the greatest game ever made though.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

  4. The GC. I like how you can make it spin and make it make different noises. Very entertaining

  5. i thinkt he only one i dont like is the DC one

i dont know just ehh and i FREAKING HATE how if you have a VMU in there when you turn it on it has to let out a high pitched beep to let you know
    Where I play

  6. That VMU Beep is horrific, and the start up jingle sounds like something you would hear reverberating in a public bathroom. PSX's was cool at first, but now it's just annoying, same goes with PS2, only that was never cool to begin with. GameCube's is decent. Sega CD's is indeed cool, hell, I even had as a sig at one point.

  7. I really like the Dreamcast, Gamecube and Neo Geo boot up sequences. Short but sweet.

    I agree... its so pretty.

  9. i'd have to agree with that other guy and say the NES, simply because it went straight to the game..
i don't need to be reminded what system i'm playing every time i turn it on.
    but otherwise i'd say DC.
MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!

  10. One thing I've noticed with the VMU beep is that it only happens on the official Sega VMUs, not for the official 4-in-1 VMUs. I'm very thankful for that since I have most of my games saved on the 4-in-1 and use the regular VMU for secondary games.
