Thread: Megaman/Rockman EXE Transmission

  1. Well the game is finally being released this week but with all the bad reviews i'm still undecided.I got my reservation and free wall scroll at gamestop
But the reviews for it have been unforgiving so can anyone else gimme some more info before i shell out the dinero for it i know its 2d and thats the same as the rest of the mega man games but is it really that difficult?also are there any anime clips played during the game?

  2. I think its difficulty is exaggerated. While you WILL die at the first two bosses, it's nothing that can't be surmounted with a bit of persistence. Once past that second guy you can start getting really powered-up, and the game settles into an agreeable level of difficulty from there.

There are no anime bits... at least in the main game. There is a hidden final boss which I haven't seen yet, so maybe there is after you beat him to get the "real" ending. There wasn't any in the regular ending.

  3. So Ben, do you like the game now?

I am considering checking it out, but I may wanna check back into the "final" version of MMBN: Blue/White

  4. Yes, I gave it an 82. That's the highest score on the 'net at the moment; most other people don't seem to be digging it as much.

("Now," btw? I don't recall talking about it before. Then again, my short term memory kind of sucks sometimes.)

  5. ...I could've sworn you did in another thread, before this one was composed. In that thread, I was talking about how I was playing the beta version of Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue for GBA.

  6. I don't know. I love every Mega Man game ever, but this one just didn't do anything for me when I played it at E3. I still have hope though, that it might not suck as badly as I think.

  7. Since the game has RPG-like character-building elements, I don't think trying the game out in short demo form gives one the full flavor. If you like classic Mega Man gameplay then I think it's a safe bet that you'll like this game's action.

Definitely rent it if nothing else.

  8. I just picked this up and I'm loving it...except for Fireman. I've still not beaten him. Frustrating.

  9. Fire Man wasnt that bad once you get the slide down right... Guts Man was a pain since he had no weakness... But now, the Needle Guy killed me abiut 30 seconds ago....

Good Game, in my opinion.. but I am jaded, from loving all the Battle Network games for the GBA.

Um, I think you mean 'biased' rather than 'jaded', there.
