That is a cool idea. A thread of strips. Nice, easy, no commitment by one or any group of people.

    You make one, post it.

Only thing I could think of is some unwritten rules like...thumbnails = good to show love for the dail-up.

You can count me in so long as no one gives me shit if I also use my strips on my site as well.

  2. Personally, I don't mind, but just ask whoever it is that does the strip.

If people are down for it, then go for it. Use thumbnails or links, for the love of dial-up ^^

Um...other rules...the usual. No malicious, racists, etc etc themes. Sexual stuff - no. Nudity...um...we'll cross that bridge if it comes to it. Funny or serious, one panel or more - whatever you want.

  3. This thread has actually inspired me to work on a comic strip. Working out the character designs now so I have no idea when an actual strip will be made, but I'll post it here when there's something to post, that is if the results turn out to be worth posting.

  4. Aw, such a good idea, yet so dormant. I'm working on a free form strip currently...I'll post them up when I get a few ready.

  5. I actually have a few from my website. They just sit, unused, and were just things jotted down at work. And I work at a computer store, so the strips are kinda themed.

Um..and there's one that looks like this girl says 'KP' but it's supposed to be 'XP' in reference to the fact that people don't know the difference between Windows or Office XP.

  6. I was actually making a gaming cartoon and I still am. It's hard though, because its 10x as much work to make an animated cartoon than it is to draw a funny comic.

    joystickadventures.com <- We're not open yet though.

Voice acting is hard, and plagued some of our first episodes. I'm just now getting the hang of it.

  7. if you do your animation in Flash, it's less work, but more artificial looking.

  8. I do it in flash, that's all I know and it's built for web. It's still not that great because it's so much work. I have to sit there and force myself to do it, my eyes burning from the screen.

Sometimes I have to get the visine it's so bad. But oh well.

We've decided to be primarily strips, but do an episode every now and again, just make it shorter. It took me like 2 weeks to get 2 minutes of episode! And that was like, 5 and a half days a week. 7up was my friend back then... but now it's a bitter mistress.

I have an amazing episode idea to introduce to the comic killer sloth. He hijacks steven hawkings wheelchair but because it's so fast compared to him he has to stop and throw up.

He's also really friendly, they just run away whenever they see him.

  9. These are great, very funny, though being a PC geek I'm sort of biased. The art fits the subject and the mood like a glove. Just clean them up and they'll be better than most webcomics out there.

Here's the comic that this thread inspired me to do, though I'm currently stuck on the page that explains everything:

They were done from start to finish in Painter 8. I don't draw on actual paper anymore.

  10. I'll try to get mine scanned tomorrow.

Hero - Heh, I think I saw a few of those a long time ago. Still funny.
Ammadeau - Hey, nice work. Been a while since I've seen your stuff, and it's good. A bit graphic, but all is good. Nice seeing you Ammadeau, I miss seeing you at Neomega.
