Now all I can think of is Kyo and Ryu in leather jackets, snapping their fingers, and dancing around, 80's style.

Aside from Sagat's voice, all is well.
Well I'm excited, but I agree with your points and it will take a lot for this to take my attention away from GGXX, which proves that fighters can take the step into hi-res and be successful...Originally posted by FuryFox
Well, I'm not looking to get flamed or anything, because I'm looking forward to this game, but my main concerns were that:
1) The graphics would be dated.
2) The animation would be choppy.
3) The characters would play just like they have in countless games before.
4) The game system would be near-identical to countless fighters before.
Now, I'm pretty well educated in terms of the history and evolution of fighting games, so I'm not so naive to expect all of those ailments remedied at once. However, it doesn't seem like anything in SvC:C is being improved at the cost of other factors remaining largely the same. It all just seems about the same.
Which is fine, a "new", well-designed fighter is always welcome. I just don't expect to get too excited about it.
ps: Conversely, it's ironically difficult to get excited about any original fighting games, because any game without much pedigree normally sucks hard. *shrug*

Hey folks!
there's going to be a loke test in Tokyo! You know what means? Good footage from my end. Wish me luck.
Definitely count on some hands-on impressions. That's for sure.

Where's it at?) and GIGO in Ikebukuro.
I will be there tomorrow. I don't have my camcorder, but fuchikoma-x was cool enough to lend me his digicam. I'll try to pull off some good shots......
