That's idiotic, the Dow is rising in general - whether fewer oil wells are burning than expected or not, Halliburton should've still seen a rise.

  2. And again the CIA insisted it was Iran that gassed the Kurds in Northern Iraq, a guy named Rumsfeld was heavily lobbying for that notion as well.

Despite todays small dip Haliburton is at its highest its ever been and in the week leading up to the war saw a huge rise, and today on the news of fewer oilwells burning the stockpricce takes a little dip.
    Coincidence?

  3. Highest it's ever been? The 52wk peak is 23.

  4. Must every thread remotely connected to politics degenerate into a poorly run debate?

  5. Aparently it does.
Mind you Stone is ignoring most of my points again.
he is really good at that.

More US Propaganda from the Associated Press, right Almaci?

"Some locals briefly joined Maj. David "Bull" Gurfein in a new cheer. "Iraqis! Iraqis! Iraqis!" Gurfein yelled, pumping his fist in the air."

"Americans very good," Ali Khemy said. "Iraq wants to be free."

    Some chanted, "Ameriki! Ameriki!"

Many others in the starving town just patted their stomachs and raised their hands, begging for food.

A man identifying himself only as Abdullah welcomed the arrival of the U.S. troops: "Saddam Hussein is no good. Saddam Hussein a butcher."

"No Saddam Hussein!" one young man in headscarf told Gurfein. "Bush!"

    "Bush!" I love it.

Our debates aren't "run" - "most", Almaci? Look, a slightly lowered expectation of oil well burning isn't enough to cause a 2% drop in Halliburton's stock price in the midst of military success if the market expected the war as a whole to benefit Halliburton much financially.

  9. We shall see.
As for the liberated Iraqi´s I couldnt be happier for them.
now lets just hope that their lives improve a bit more then those of the average Afghani´s.

I like how the original point of this thread has been lost (again).

Way to go... please continue your bickering.
