I have no clue, but I have a question. Is the online aspect of the game free to play, or do you need to pay a monthly fee to Sega?
Has anyone tried it? I'm trying with the Trueno on Akagi and it's so difficult. The tires seem to be grabbing the asphalt even with slicks and a stiffer suspension.
Does anyone know how to drift in here without losing all of your momentum? I was expecting Daytona USA play and I'm not getting it ... even GT3 has some skidding around when you try to drift around banks.

try tightening the limited slip, decrease stiffness on the front swaybar, increase stiffness on the rear swaybar, adjust the camber in the front to at least -3 degrees, adjust the rear camber to 0 degrees, and install better driveline components. i don't know how much adjustability auto modellista has, but that's how you set up a drift car in real life.Originally posted by impulse

also, try using the e-brake to initiate a drift. when i had an ae86, i used to use the clutch to induce a drift, but i doubt there is a clutch in auto modellista.
The online play is free, even though it uses Sega's SNAP service.Originally posted by cka

I just bought this game yesterday....and just returned it today. And I never return games. Was anybody else severely disapointed with this one? The driving was just so.....average. And man, was it ugly. Forrests made out of cardboard cutouts. Ground textures that the SNES almost equaled with mode 7 games. Jumpy framerates. I almost had to check that I wasn't accidentally playing a Saturn racer (no offence to Sega Rally/Touring Car). When I already own Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 on my PS2, I just can't settle for a new arcade racer anything short of amazing. NFS set the bar rediculously high, and I was hoping Auto Modellista would make it up there as well.
I have it and yes I'm disappointed. The online isnt that great and the controls are rather floaty. But... the more I play it the more I like it. I actually think the graphics are good. I like how much you can customize your car. But your all right about the drifting. I cant figure it out very well. I keep slowing to a crawl. Oh well back to Zelda I guess. Thank god Soul Calibur 2 should come tomorrow.

Looks like I'll be waiting to pick this up on the discount tip.
When it was first announced and I saw the screenshots I was really exctied.
Then the import released, to reports of crappy control, no drifting, and framerate problems.
I was dissapointed.
Then the news came that many of the issues with the import would be fixed.
Excited!
Now the the US version is here and it sounds like a lot of the problems remain.
Dissapointment.

Damn. I was looking forward to AM, but I'll be sticking to Battle Gear 2.Originally posted by Kidnemo

I'm seriously doubting I'll even pick AM up when the price drops, to be truthful.

There's a Trueno in Modellista?And there's a course called Akagi?
Is this some kind of Initial D rip off?
