Thread: PNO3- anyone played it yet?

  1. MUSIC - rocking beat - nothing amazing but works well with the game. Vanessa will shake her ass to the music. And I must mention how much glorious attention to detail has been given to her ass - it looks accurate down to the last shake.

I have the music pumped up and I'm digging it big time. The techno beats remind me of REZ.

That's exactly your problem. You can't play it for "a little while" You either put in the time or pass. The game just isn't going to come together in a couple of hours or even half a day or a day.

Not in the least. How you came to that conclusion I have no idea. Your loss if you're a shooter fan

  3. Is it score based like Shinobi?

  4. Yeah, the key to the game is points via chaining kills. The points in turn get you money to upgrade your suit. Also, the higher your point total for a room the better your in game "props" (ie novice->amatuer->normal->professional->destroyer)

As to Shinobi, I haven't played the new one yet so I can't compare.

  5. Getting all the suits in this game is more addictive then I would have figured.

I'm enjoying the trial missions alot too. More so then the regular missions even.

Ya know, when video of this game was first shown I could have sworn Vanessa was wielding a huge gun. Wonder why they scrapped that?

As long as each successive title from the Capcom-5 gets better, then this was a wonderful was to start.

  6. Its sounds like this is getting the same reaction GunValk got. Which it turn makes me more interested. I still am very interested in this game, but will wait for the U.S. release.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

Eh, it's a ground-based action game with strange control and an emphasis on chaining. Close enough, as far as I'm concerned. I'll certainly get around to playing it some time, don't get me wrong. I just have some other stuff that I need to get out of the way.

  8. I hate that style control in theory. I've railed on 3rd person action game long enough on these boards though. I can like GunValkyrie though so I can like this (maybe). I'm one of those people who likes the style a lot.

This statement alone is enough to turn me off. 14 fucking hours before it comes together? No.

I'll rent this when it comes stateside because I liked GunValk so much, but even GunValk didn't take 14 goddamn hours to click with me. Frankly, any game that doesn't get it's shit together in the first five hours isn't worth the effort. The fact that it took so long before you started enjoying the game just means you got used to some crappy gameplay mechanics.

And you know this because... you've actually played this game? No, wait, you're talking out of your ass.

Since when is something that takes time to master crap by definition? You want the same crap with the same controls? Great, I think you and the rest of the lemmings are buying that shit by the boatload.
