Thread: Finally, My New PC is built

  1. You can use a bootdisk for WindowsXP, but you need to download is from microsoft.com; do a download search for "Windows XP Bootdisk". The only catch is that it uses 6 disks.

    I also don't think Windows lets you boot a preinstalled OS from a different system, you get a Windows Protection Error if you try.
    You probably don't think I'm a very nice guy...

    Mine needed 6 disks, all floppy, i tried to boot from the cd but my comp was like "I havin' that biatch!" and i was like "Shit, yo! Eat floppy you mofo!" so i puts in the disks and all was well.... hahahaah
    So I have a question.. when I installed my CD-Rom (Lite on)
    I can't get the little ear phone jack to work.. my speakers from the back work fine, but the CD-Rom doesn't want to play anything from the front..What should I do?

    you should have a cable going from your soundcard to your cd drive

  6. well i do..its an on-board sound card.... and the cable goes from the CDin port into the CD-rom... but no sound comes out... do have to set any drivers or something??
