I would say forget Beatmania I for now, the series is almost ending and it's not going to be supported for much longer.

If you've played IIDX before, I'd get them in

4th, 6th, 3rd, 5th.

In my opinion, 4th has the most variation between songs, and has most of my favorites.

If you haven't, get 6th first, because it has beginner mode which REALLY helps

I'm going to do a full on 9th Style review later on, but if 7th Style Home is anything like 9th Style, expect some MAJOR changes

So where can I go about picking up a home IIDX controller and games?

I've heard they're hard to find but if anyone can point me in the direction I'd be quite greatful. Fearing it's expensivness, I'm probably going to but the controller with this week's paycheck, the game on the next check, and the flip-top mod the check after.

I would just bite the bullet and get it for 80 bucks. If it's this hard to find now (And believe me, it is. You're not the only person whos complained of this) just imagine in say, a year from now.

It looks like I'll have to do that, which kinda ticks me off.

My birthday is coming up soon, though...

I just got 3rd Stlye the other day as well... Schlagwerk at last! Rapture.

But there are a shitload of crappy pop-ish songs that I rather nor go near... Oh well.

That's what I though of it at first, but, somehow, pretty much every song in the game has grown on me. Even Dream and the m-flo songs. Well, okay, I still hate Five Fathoms and Right Now, but that's it...

Anyway, I really want to play this at home.

I'd also suggest 6th. It's still my favorite, has a great songlist, and the Beginner and Drill modes are extremely helpful.

Just got an email, I may have scored a used copy of 4th Style for 4000Y. *fingers crossed* As far as GF3/DM2, looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet. Apparently, no one has it, and when they get it in it sells right out. I am pretty much broke though, so hopefully they will still have it in stock when I get the $80 together. Good luck on 4th Style, Tain.

Oh and I like the M-Flo songs.... *shame*

The Break is located on Main St. Dunellen. Here's hoping I see you there. I go 2-4 times a week, usually at night. If you see a kid playing Light7 with thick rimmed, black glasses (aka "emo" glasses *shudder at the word*) then say hi.

Oh, and, just a heads up, all the cool kids enter the break from the back door.

The IIDX 8th Style is 75 cents a play

The 5-Key 6th Mix (not sure exactly what they call it) is 50 cents a play

The Para Para 1st Mix is either 25 cents or 50 cents, not sure.

The DDR 5th is 50 cents

The DDR Extreme is 75 cents.

All fighting games (Soul Calibur 2, Guilty Gear X2, and many Capcom fighers) are pretty much all 50 cents.

Yes, that's right. IIDX 9th Style runs under Windows XP.

Coincidentally, Ferrari is saying over at Bemanistyle that the timing is a bit off on some songs. You need to be a pretty good player to notice, supposedly, but it seems to really be pissing him off.

Kinda dissapointing. Hopefully any PS2 port (HAH!) that may come along wont have the same problem.
