I think the best suggestion so far was from Dolemite - you want to do something that involves talking and physical interaction. Here's an idea - ask her if there's something she wants to learn, like a sport or something you are fairly decent at and teach her about it. I find that, even though we've been together for some time now, my girlfriend has the most fun and appreciates me most when we're playing a card game or sport or something she always wanted to learn and I'm teaching her. If you do that on the first date, it shows that you are interested in finding out about her.
Amusement parks are nice and make for good conversation. If you live near wilderness, you could take a nature hike (the Boy Scouts like to clear trails out for their Eagle Scout projects, you can find out places from them). Rose's advice about skating is really good. Dolemite had a good one with stuff like pool or bowling. The only time a movie would be good on the first date is if you already know the person fairly well.
Make sure you ask a lot of questions about things she likes. Try to steer the conversation away from anything deep about you, though.
To give you an example: I took my girlfriend to the beach on our first actual date. There's a pier there and the wind was blowing really hard so we had to stand real close to hear one another. I learned a whole lot about her and then we went back to her house where I met her cat and we talked about her interests and ambitions. Then we had dinner at a small, not so expensive restaurant.
Hehe. I'm a '79 Italian, but wrong model for ya, Tracer. The 82's are good, I would have seen you with a '78 though :/ But then, you don't tend to find asian imports that old these days. They're usually claimed and aren't much resold after '80.
I'd like an itallian, '78 - '81 would rock but I'm willing to go a little older or a little newer. I hear the Spanish make some nice ones too.But yeah, mine's an '82 as well. Manufactured by both China and the Philippines. =)
Hehe.PS: If you are reading this and are my girlfriend, this is a joke. Don't kick me in the balls.
