I am a happy man. I hooked my CPS3 up to my sitdown cabinet and it actually worked... sort of.
My monitor is still in proper vertical shooter positioning so it was kind of hard to play, and I only have 3 of my buttons hooked up so I had no kicks... but who cares!1 It works.
I also figured I'd post some images of the board and whatnot for the hell of it.
Also, I figure that most have never seen a CPS3 board before, so consider it a history lesson... or something.
This is the board:

And the cart and CD together... just for the hell of it.
Anyone know how much something like this is worth? I have the marquee, character/move list, and the play mechanics card.
Uh... $5. Quick, sell it to me.Originally posted by 88mph

You win the "make 88 laugh hard as fuck" contest for the week.
That was awesome.
One day, I do want to own a Third Strike setup, and I'd imagine they aren't terribly hard to find (not that I've really looked or anything). Did that CD-ROM drive come with the hookup or is it your own?
Came with.
GWTrading.com is charging about $185 for a Japanese one...they're usually overpriced, but not by too much. I'd guess yours is worth about $220 or so. Just hope you've got lots of time left on that suicide battery. I hear CPSIII is even more of a bitch than CPSII to have recharged. I too would LOVE a 3rd Strike setup. For those in the market, gwtrading is selling one for $355.
thats pretty damn cool man
have to say im jealous
one day id like to own
you knwo the big set ups where the tv is set back from where the controls are and its bigger than most monitors on a cab
