WOW is developing a stylish new semi-cel-shaded baseball game, based on the manga of the same name.

Looks bizarre but interesting.... I think the game looks great and sounds a like a lot of fun. I like the occasional sport games with zany special attacks and RPGish aspects. They can be more engauging and have more replay value than more simmish sport games....

I hope this one turns out well. Hoping for a English translation seems pointless though.

Not entirely, Sega put US teams and stadiums in Greatest nine and brought it here. Though its still not likely though in this case as the have WSB for PS2.

I think it could be really fun if they make it really arcadey. Home run king was getting there, but its biggest flaw was it played too slow. Hopefully WOW will not do that again.

Looks great I say. Love the manga stylings in there for the story or however they'll use it,but I wonder about the "manga styled players vs. regular looking ones" decision. Seems odd.

Yea it's odd, but its also cool in a Roger Rabit kinda way. Like the comic coming to life to play against real teams.
