Does this university have a name or is it just 'University'?
Does he have a name, or should I just call him 'Lawyer'?
Computer Science is awful, and the job market for computer scientists is pretty stagnant and near stillborn. The days of CS majors coming out of college and making $60k+ are loooong gone. Im speaking of personal experience... I started college as a CompSci major but switched to math after a year. AVOID!
MechE is challenging, but it opens up a lot of doors and a lot of money.
Chemistry... I dunno.
Congrats.
Computer Engineering is where it's at. (Actually, I have no clue)
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
Congrats dudeNow be a good student !
I'll bet CompSci is the most popular major when people first start college but before their sophomore year the number of people who are still compsci are less than half and less than half of those graduate and less than half of those find good jobs anyway.Originally posted by diffusionx

CompSci = Career & Scholastic Suicide.

Alright, Comp Sci is bad.
How's Comp Engineeering, though?
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
what about graphic arts & communications? is that going down the shitter as well?
god i hope not.
Thats okay but in all honesty Electrical Engineering is better; CompE is a lot of EE with some specialized computer stuff, but the EE degree is more generalized and can open up more doors; it could be argued that you could learn all that extra comp stuff on the job.Originally posted by OmniGear

In all seriousness, Im not sure... but a lot of these newfangled majors that popped up during the internet boom in the mid-1990s are not amounting to much... what Ive seen is that youre best with the tried-and-true majors... engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.
Im not sure if there is a demand for graphic art people, but my bet would be... no.![]()
