In any case, I grew up with DBZ. I think everyone who watches DBZ grows up with part of it's influence contained within their psyche forever.

As an anime, it's a pioneer, trendsetter and the genre defining pieces of our time... but it definitely comes with a bagload of flaws.

DBZ is definately something that brings people into anime, but in the meantime, it also makes a lot of people hate it. The same with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. These are pretty much love or hate series.

Yu-Yu-Hakusho appeals to my older sister who hates anime, as does InuYasha. I don't think you can say DBZ is the champion ^.^
