Thread: new beer drinker

  1. Where'd you drink the rose, Provence? I've never been a big fan of rose wine, but that's just because I've only had a couple of bottles, either cheap or corked. Rose champagne is pretty good, though, Taittinger makes a very nice one.

Actually, for a long time, back in the 1700s, beer was a woman's drink. Men drank wine and champagne. At some point, it switched, but, yeah, beer used to be a chick drink.

  2. We went all over France, lots of cities and drank lots of wine/champagne. Im trying to remember the city, but it just wont come to me...

Bah, it was somewhere by the beach, but it wasnt Nice(the city) is all I know. They were topless beaches too eh =D

Oh and thanks 88mph, although it doesnt exactly fit what I said, Richard Simmons is a fag, but wine has nothing to do with it.
Action Half Life is still there and will always be.

  3. If it was somewhere near Nice, then it makes sense, that's where they make a lot of Rose wine.

My favorite wines are Spanish reds, for the most part - Rioja, Ribeiro del Duera. Even the whites they do there are pretty solid, and I think the values are excellent. Huge fan of Spanish wines, basically, that's the way I tend to go if I'm ordering something expensive I've never tried before. I like white Burgundy, Bordeaux, all that, but Spain's where it's at.

Wine has everything to do with it.

  5. I must say, unless you are old or rich, you really should be drinking beer.

Maybe Ojisan would like wine-coolers better.

    @ wine coolers.

  7. You can buy solid bottles of wine for between $6-$10...not much more expensive than beer.

  8. #18
Yeah, but drinking wine makes you gay. It happens to be a proven fact.

  9. They did tests on a bunch of Male Theater Actors, and they all liked wine, and it turned out that all the males were also gay. Put two and two together.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  10. Had an new Aussie label that was surprisingly not bad, but for the most part I stay away from wine unless its bein served with a meal (ie everyone else is drinking it)
