So yes, Wine may get you more drunk, but only marginally.

Thing is, it's easier to drink wine more quickly than beer, IMO. You can drink wine at a normally vigorous pace and get drunk as quickly as if you were chain-shotgunning tall-boys of ice beer. Wine's more insidious, because it also doesn't have that hard liquor shock that (can) slow you down when you're drinking cocktails/whatever.
