Online gaming? Eh, never tried it. No desire to try it. The "People are stupid" thing is keeping me away, too.
More GBA-GCN connectivity.
Return to side-scrolling viewpoint. (2D FOREVER!)
Multiplayer.
Longer, more challenging adventure.
Whoa. I wonder what the heck I was playing.Originally posted by Satsuki
One thing that somewhat upsets me, is that I would *love* to play SOCOM, but there is absolutely no single player mode.![]()

Jesus. How can anyone want them to fuck up Prime with 2D after such a masterpiece? Change it around, maybe add a couple of features, and make Super unlockable. That simple.
maybe have once super is unlocked you can save it to the GBA play it on there or something and move your save file back and forth between them
jsut a though
Eh, I'd still rather a 2.5D Metroid on the GC over another Metroid Prime. Now I'll be the first to admit I was dead wrong about my vocal opposition to Metroid Prime's first-person viewpoint prior to the game being released - it turned out to not only be not as bad as I thought, but a pretty solid game alltogether. They really transferred the exploration-sense of Metroid over well. That said, I still thought the actual gameplay of Prime was a bit pale in comparison to the 2D Metroids.
I'd like to see what they could do on the GC with a 2.5D sidescrolling Metroid, given the epic scope of Metroid Prime/Super Metroid (not bringing over the lame hand-to-guide-you of Fusion). I could settle on another 2D Metroid being on the GBA and not GC, but please, not the thin game that was Metroid Fusion again.
- The abilty to do a quick 180 degree turn. All you'd have to do is quickly press up then down and Samus would quickly spin around, instead of having to slowly pivot.
- Speed shoes! Samus walks too slow, especially considering all the ammount of walking you do in the game.
I have to hear that damn song all the time when I'm at work.easy like sunday morning
I totally agree, even being the 2-D whore that I am. They did such a great job, no STELLAR job with prime. Let them do something different for once, folks, it's not going to hurt.Originally posted by Masters

I think if they did a 2D metroid game on the cube, they'd be able to make it absolutely stunning..
MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!
I wouldn't mind any of these:
First & foremost; tighten up the Lock-on system!!!: That's my ONLY standing complaint with Prime; TOO MANY TIMES, I'd have an enemy locked on, and if another crossed the recticle, the lock would jump between the two, or lose it all together. I want it so Samus takes aim and has to be in the next room before the lock disengages.
Fighting across the Pirate's solar system: Those pirates were the highlight of the game, so next time I'd wanna go to their house. And fuck it up. Then jump aboard my ship, and cruise back to the Chozo's homeworld and stock up on items. A long shot, but it'd be nice to take control of Samus' ship.
Kraid. I wanted to go toe to toe with the six-story beast in 3D, and the closest I got was stinking "Flaagra". Well, actually the rock boss probably was a better deal, but still, Ridley & Kraid; they're mainstays of the series! (Maybe it was a resource issue that prevented them from putting it in? Or a story conflict?)
Going back to Super Metroid's old stages (the ghost ship and the underwater caverns) would be a treat!
Multiplayer VS mode ONLY: Metroid, since day one has been a solo adventure. It's the lonliness and lack of backup from danger that gives the game it's flavor. BUT, I wouldn't mind a separate battle mode--just that players would have to be limited to some playable pirates or other such mutants. Ten or twelve Samus-suited ripoffs just seems wrong to me somehow.
Stick to 3D: Don't fix what ain't broke. Plain & simple. A 3D modeled, 2D POV Samus exists in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and strangely, I'm happy with that (but that's personal opinion, not majority...) Retro Studios proved me wrong with Prime. I trust them to do another stellar job with the viewpoint.
Side note: Am I the only one who thinks heavy-ass Samus' slow turn around and limited view was NOT AT ALL an issue? Blindsides were few and far between (mostly in boss battles, where those kinds of scenarios, I'd expect to happen); if you were smart and patient enough to wipe out all enemies in a room BEFORE they had a chance to hit you first (sniping with missiles or the auto-lock Wave beam), the game was a breeze. Relatively speaking.
But, most importantly
Surprise me. Shock me, even.: All these ideas and speculations are nice, but sometimes I like it when the developers take the game in a direction I HADN'T expected, predicted or advocated, and make it work to their advantage. Heh, that sounds like the initial proposal for Prime! If Prime 2 comes out and (A) is twice the game the first one was, or (B) manages to be just as good, I'd die a happy man.

Metroid Prime totally surprised me for one reason, and ONE REASON ONLY. It is the only game in the history of the world EVER that is BETTER in 3-D than it was in 2-D. I do not know how the hell they pulled it off, and I don't even want to imagine how they did it but they did. Keep Metroid Prime 3-D. Metroid Prime is what every other Metroid game wanted to be. I can not play a 2-D Metroid ever again. Any other game series I would want to go back to 2-D without hesitation. However, Metroid Prime is just a masterpiece.
I have no complaints with the game at all. However, every single one of my friends has the same complaint. I know about ten other people who bought the game, and I am the only one to finish it (yes, at only 85%, but I beat it). There complaint is always "Why does this game not have double analog control...blah blah blah." I thought the control scheme was perfect for Prime...They should stick with it and not listen to any of the people bitching about a lack of double analog control.
