Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang are gearing up for their multi-platform debut. Wakka wakka!

It's quite a coincidence that just the other day, I participated in a "What Kind of Muppet Are You?" quiz, only to find that as of today's announcement, TDK Mediactive has secured a 3-year license to develop and publish games based on The Muppets franchise. Moreover, the franchise will present a series of games which span platforms including the Xbox, PS2, and Nintendo Gamecube.

"The colorful Muppet characters and their hilarious antics are tailor-made for videogames, said Vincent Bitetti, chief executive officer of TDK Mediactive."

The games will be launched concurrently with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Muppet Show (which in fact, is making a return to the airwaves - yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!) *waves hands*

(Ok, so I got a little too carried away...everyone should recognize the fact that these guys own.)
