  2. IEEE-1394 Port = system link port? if so, big deal, there's what 4 game that support it?

Everything else sounds super happy go fun cool. I wish the Xbox had a power off remote.

I'm hoping the compatibility with HOME MOVIE DVDS (wink) makes it easier to mod for imports.

  6. 25,000 yen is roughly $207, so basically no change for a much improved unit. At first I was thinking $250 for the newer unit and that wouldn't be nice....
    No gnus is good gnus.

  7. wow, i still cant believe that i paid near 600$ for mine when it first came out....Now this..

  8. - More reliable CD-ROM support

Oh, no, wait, that's not on the list at all. *snicker*. Armored Core fans are going to hate the removal of the IEEE 1394 port (byebye link mode). However, if these changes go along with hardware revisions that make the system easier to mod, I'm all for them.

  9. will it stop playing cd-based games after 6 months, just like the current model?

  10. Umm... so even though the remote sensor is now built in, it still costs an extra $20 to buy the remote? Ah well, at least it has progressive-scan DVD playback, but that's not worth another $200+ for me.
