Thread: Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad

  1. This book was very good, I read it freshman year... "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." priceless...

I should read this one over the summer. If you have not read Orwell's 1984 yet, I'd definately reccomend it, as it also compares a fictional story to communism. I have read a little into Stalin, and the government under Big Brother sounds very much like his ruling techniques.

  3. And remember: Comrade Napoleon is always right!
bastard of the new world order.

  4. The cartoon was terrible.

The book is a satire on Stalinism and the Russian revolution. The cartoon is a story about pigs that walk upright. Great book. Awful, Awful cartoon.

  5. Animal farm is an excellent book, and an easy read. But by far Orwell's best work is 1984. Easily the most profound piece of literature I've ever encountered. "Salvation lies in the proles".

  6. Didn't EVERYBODY have to read it? What they hell did you guys read in high school?

  7. All Quiet On The Western Front. I didn't have to read a lot otherwise.
bastard of the new world order.

That's what I'm wondering. I thought it was required reading. I wrote a book report on it, for the love of something!

It was a damned good book, though.

  9. Read it in high school. Also 1984. Both are creepy in their dissection; both are good reads as well.

I will never understand why an actor as talented as he is doesn't get more, and better work.
