It says here that 25.5% of Konami's revenue is from exercise entertainment. That's a hell of a lot considering video games constitute 38%.

I was thinking that might be it but it seems stupid not to include that under video games.

If it is DDR, I'm not surprised at all. Still, management of fitness centers?* Exercise Entertainment Business
- Management of fitness centers.
- Design, manufacture and sale of fitness machines with entertainment elements.
I'm now referring to the local arcade as "the Gym" whenever I go there.Originally posted by Tain

It's what Tain quoted, there's a seperate entity for the entire Health Product division at konami.co.jp. It was publicised when this happened (about a year ago?), and that's exactly what they deal with: Fitness Center goods and the like.
It has nothing to do with any of their videogame products at all.
Konami is a very large company. They do more than just games. A lot of Japanese companies are like that. Yahama makes everything from motorcycles to CD players to drumsets for example.
Taito is heavily into the Karaoke business, too. If you're playing Hat Trick Hero S (Saturn) and see an X2000 advertisement on the sideline... that's one of their Karaoke boxes.Originally posted by sggg
