I've been to every E3 so far and I'll tell you what to expect. Nothing. Expect nothing and enjoy the surprises or have expectations just to be disappointed. That's what I've learned.
E3 is more fun with zero expectations![]()

I can't usually be bothered by the trite shovelware that proliferates and clogs American release charts and is showcased at the likes of E3. What I'm hoping for at E3 will most definitely not be there. That's why I never go. There's plenty of strip clubs around where phony paid hourly chicks can rub up against me and smile like they mean it and I can find slow moving, irritating crowds right here in Seattle every weekend. No need to spend money flying to another city to fight my way through a smelly sweaty throng to see piss poor games demonstrated and talk about "that chick at the Capcom booth with the fake titties actually smiled at me... I think she's sprung yo!"
Have fun!

Hopefully some juciy info, shots, video or a playable demo of Prince of Persia.
And maybe some of that Castlevania stuff, but whatever.
My preferences and opinions were formed through the help of a spectacular childhood! As a matter of fact I'd like to thank my mom right now for being so real. The mystique of things like E3 wore off many years ago when I was owning me own skateboard/snowboard shop. I really can't give a rat's ass for trade shows. I was always able to get more business and fine women done at home. And I really dislike the current state of American gaming. If some of the games I'm interested in come out that'll be great but I don't need to wait in line to fly on a plane to go to LA to wait in line to (maybe) play Viewtiful Joe.
It's just me and my preferences/opinions. No need for alarm.

Sorry if you misunderstood me. Most people here only wish they could go(myself included). I meant it for everyone. I wasn't even taking into account that people here were actually going. I guess I should have said what do they expect to read about.
PaCrappa's right... Im not going either, and Im a free bus ride away. And its not a matter of not having the credentials - I do, I just cant be bothered.
I went in 2000, and I learned a few short weeks after that what goes on at E3 hardly matters to the industry. My favorite game of the show was Vampire The Masquerade, but when I bought it it was just complete pants. Within three months, or even two, or fuck maybe one, people just forget about it and it goes back to the usual cycle of "Check out the scores in EGM", "Just heard about this new game", etc.
I'm going to E3 primarily to see people I otherwise only talk to online, hang out in the videogame geekiest place on the planet, get free crap, and just have fun. I don't expect to be disappointed.
I've only been once, three years ago, but had a good time and found a nice chunk of stuff that didn't get the front page of IGN/Gamespot. I expect this year to be just as entertaining.
Oh, and Unity.

I had a chance to go this year, but it'd be too costly to go. Eh, maybe next year.

I would be mildly excited to see some of the new games/demo. But since I don't (and won't) have a press pass, I'm just looking forward to meeting some of you fellow TNLers. It'll be just like going to E3 -- a few big surprises, a few big disappointments, and lot of what I'd expect.
