i can see where now is coming from, and i really wish i coudl be with them,as i do beleive that gender equality is an important thing, but on this topic, i have to resigne myself to beign the enemy. now has a lofty goal, but some of their stances distance them from me entirely.

I don't think NOW means to make this guys crime any less heinous, I just think they're fearful that this could turn into a precedent against abortion. Good have done a better PR job, in my opinion.

sory i was unclear, i am opposed to them on the abortion issue entirely. i am not going to jack this thread, but i dotn see abortion as a liberating issue for women, i have seen it used to control a number of women, and to excuse a several men's irresponsability, so i divervge with them on abortion in general, not this stuff, this is jsut a expected outcome of their hardline stance.

There's a veneer of irony on the situation when the National Organization of Women opposes a law that theoretically would protect pregnant women, purely because they think it may limit abortion rights.

Republicans hate homosexuals, so being bullheaded dipshits about gay marriage at least makes sense.
