I'm pro-choice. I think its a situation thing. in cases of young age of the mothers, rape, or insest I say stop the pain. Women who use abortions as a form of birth control are foolish and are pathetic. It is the hardest decision any woman has to make and I hope to god I never have to make the choice. But we need the option, the choice, to be open, to be there and legal. there needs to be a clear defination of when a human being is a human being and no longer a fetus... or else will miscarrages be considered murder too someday? this is a big legal issue that will shape the path of the future of this issue. In my opinion, until you breath air, you shouldnt be legal.

It's a buzzword term for something called "dilate-and-extract", I think - "dilate and extract" lacks the nasty connotation anti-abortion people are looking for, I guess. It involves crushing the skull of the fetus or something similarly unpleasant, and it's pretty gruesome, I guess, but, you're right about "partial birth abortion" not being a technical term.

You are correct, sir, as was diffusionx when he said that "partial birth abortion" isn't a real medical term. That still doesn't change the fact that abortions past a certain point are wrong. Still, that's just my opinion, and if a woman wanted to get an abortion late I wouldn't stop her. It's her bod.

I've got no problem with their stance, particularly in this political climate. The slippery slope is sitting there covered in grease and other Bush oozings, waiting for the first opportunity the get to the bottom, where all abortions are illegal, as quickly as possible. They don't have a whole lot of choice but to take this stance, really.
