Thread: SEGA Ages: Space Harrier release date / price

  1. SEGA Ages: Space Harrier release date / price

    MB says:

Sega of Japan announced the release date of the PS2 Sega Ages titles, Phantasy Star, Fantasy Zone, Monoco GP and Space Harrier will be released in Japan sometimes in August, for 2500 yen each. All titles will feature updated graphics, sound, music and systems not found in the original versions.

  2. Systems not found in the original versions? What!?
I'm looking forward to the updated Monaco GP game.

Seriously, I don't know how Sega can top themselves here.

Yeah. For example Phantasy Star will use the battle system from Phantasy Star IV.

  6. How many times are they going to rehash/re-emulate Space Harrier?? I love the game but I think I have 5 versions of this game (just off the top of my head), and at least 2 of them are pixel/arcade perfect (Or pretty damn close to it).

    Planet Harriers, you hear?

I really want these games. I hope they come out here.

These are complete remakes so if the new Space Harrier looks as different as the new Phantasy Star does, it will certainly not be a rehash.

I agree, if Sega teamed with AOL there would probably be Space Harrier on those free AOL discs... well at least then there would be something decent on them anyway

I want Planet Harriers as well

I'm looking foward to the Phantasy Star with the updated graphics though

  9. If these games don't come out in NA - I'll be getting a flip top for my PS2 so I can play the Japanese versions.

Out of this batch I am most interested in seeing the new Fantasy Zone. They all seem interesting though.

  10. Heh, I hope the new Fantasy Zone is in 3D, so we can go over to Opa Age & watch OpaOpa's pussy explode.
