Thread: Game you are/were the best at.

  1. Valkyrie Profile: I walk into Bloodbane/Dragon Tyrant battles with a smile.

Gyruss: old NES game--love that thing to pieces.
Perfect bonus rounds on more than half the stages and a maniac when it comes to dodging (and this game is actually pretty hectic.)

Yoshi's Island: I know the dance. I live the dance.
    Every stage, all 100% completion.

Yes you are. Cammy is the devil's guise for the 21st century.

I used to think I was the bomb at King of Fighters, until I got on CvS2 and realized half the people there were as good as I was, except they knew all the dirty tricks, too.

Hell, if 100% completion counts, then chalk up most of the games I own (well over 400 by now) to that list.

Oddly enough, by some strange coincidence, I consider myself very good at SFA3 AND PowerStone, too. Wow. Those were the first two titles that came to mind, and there you go mentioning them. Wish we could play... anyone close to Miami?
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
    My Backloggery

  4. Halo- in the top five of my friends
Soul Calibur- absolute best at this, I beat just about everyone I played
    Street fighter alpha- probably third.

Although, the button mashing thing is funny because I get beat by this same 8 year old kid at Ready To Rumble and Soul Calibur EVERY SINGLE TIME....it must be the button mashing. I hate both of those games because of it...

man, in soul calibur just do what I do, practice with the computer on level 8 and parry everything he does. That mutes the button mashing. Once my timing is down I'm untouchable.

you played alpha? I need to take a trip up there then and slap you down. better yet, come to ECC (oh and Reno can come to take SC!)

oh and that applies to you too magnifiedplaid. do you only play the console versions? and if you are really good? what's your real name as I've never seen you mentioned at all during A3's prime...

unless you're one of the well-known players within the West Coast, Midwest or NY/VA/FL area - I highly doubt you're legendary.

    talk is cheap anyways...

Back when I played it, I was the BEST at Wing Commander Prophecy. There are none higher.

The game just clicked with me when I was in a Panther in a way that nothing else has.

I'm not too shabby at SF games either.

What a time to not have Cammy all over my account.
    Play Guitar Hero //

  8. I'm pretty good at those stupid lucky hit stands in Shenmue II, I own in SSBM, umm.. and segasports NFL game from 2K on. The only fps I decent in is Halo, but I kick Dan's ass

  9. Am going to sound so arrogant now.

Technically speaking, I have such a broad experience of game mechanics that I very rarely find something I cant pick up and play off the bat and get a good 80% through it without having to much trouble.

Thats what will happen to u when your life is videogames in both work and play for a decade.

Games I have excelled at are the MetalSlug series, shmups in general (im the only one I know who thinks Ikaruga isent that hard), MMX games(Could smash enemies so fast the game engine couldent keep up), DDR, one-on-one's in general....Rail shooters general, dating sims general....

It would be easier to name off things I really suck at...

  10. Tekken 3- Longest winning streak is 23 wins using Paul. With Lei, I have a time attack record of 2'19"xx.

Thunder Force IV- Got the "No Miss" bonus on Normal.

Crisis Zone- 5.2M high score, no lives lost.

KOF'94- 1-credited it using Team England.

Contra (arcade)- Cleared it with one life.

Sky Shark- Kept the game going until late in the third loop, ending with a score of 1.492M.

    Double Dragon- 145,000 points.

Space Harrier- Got to stage 16 on one credit.

Street Fighter Alpha 3- No rounds lost vs. CPU.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
