Thread: Crash Nitro Kart pics!!

  1. This reminds me of when Bombad Racing was released on both the PSX and PS2, with little difference between the two. Simple cash runs like this one suck.

  2. It's not a joke. It's on PS2, Gamecube and Xbox. Check it out on Gamespot.

What's wrong with Vicarious Visions? AFAIK, I don't personally own any games they've developed, but I've played several GBA games that they've made (Tony Hawk 2, Tony Hawk 3, and the first Crash game for GBA), and they were all very good. Based on what I've played, I'd guess that the game is in good hands. Yeah, I'd much rather it be back in Naughty Dog's hands, but that's not going to happen anytime soon, if ever.

Funny, that was my first thought also, especially with the low-res character portraits. Also, have you noticed that the second and third screens look very much like tracks from CTR? I wonder if they're redoing some or all of CTR's tracks for this game?

I love CTR, also. It's one of my favorite PlayStation games. I hope that Vicarious Visions can reproduce and expand on the depth and fun of that game. It looks good conceptually, but I hope they polish the graphics up a lot more before releasing it.

If this had Internet play, that would be awesome. It's supposed to have LAN play on PlayStation 2 and X-Box, so there might be some way to rig it up to a PC and use a tunnelling protocol to play it online (much like what was done with TimeSplitters 2 on PS2, as well as a few X-Box games). I'd much rather they support "real" online play, though.

  5. CTR was a good Kart game... only thing is Mario Kart 64 was a great game, so I'm looking forward to the new Mario Kart more than this... besides, those models do indeed look just like shit...

    Yeah I know.

Those screens look like someone injected CTR with 3-day old hooker turds and coded it for PS2. Oh, and this guy seems like the new zidane, doesn't he?

  8. They shouldn't even TRY to release this on the cube as it will become Mario Kart's personal bitch.

You're right. Without the greatest rip off dev team in the industry working on it, it can't be anywhere near as good as Mario Kart.
