Uhg...Way too fast. This one gets the big MEH.
IGN reports that the yet-to-be-named sequel to Metroid Prime will be at E3. Though we'd all like to give the game a test run, that won't be happening as it seems the game will be in video form only.
This will be the formal debut for Retro Studio's high-profile title, and a 2004 release for GameCube seems most likely.
Since it's being revealed so quickly after the original's release, it looks like Nintendo wants to lose none of the momentum Metroid Prime accrued as they're still hoping that a modern console Metroid release can be commercially successful (the original Prime only sold 800,000 of its projected million).
