Thread: Motorcycles

  1. I might break down and get a bike this summer.

Probably an old beatup Harley, or something that I can start learning bike repair on.

I'd love to build my own custom chopper, so you gotta start somewhere.

  2. I don't have my regular driver's license yet, but when I could I wouldn't mind getting a bike. then again my dream idea would be myself as a street samuria driving around on a crotch rocket at 170 mph, with a large katana on my back, looking for people to kill that I've been hired for.

But really, some guy who works with me just got this yellow Crotch Rocket (I don't know jack shit about bikes so I don't know what it's really called) I'll grab a picture or something of it. He says it can reach 170 pretty fast.

  3. I'm with FuryFox. No crotch-rockets for me. I've seen too many pretty boy poseurs riding those that it's not even an option. The V-ROD's will let those fancylads know that you own the street if you can stomach the hit to the wallet.

    Ain't she a beaut?

    V-ROD

  4. The V-Rod is awesome.

The first time I saw one in person, I just kinda stared at it for a while.

Really great looking peice of machine.

  5. If I can ever afford it I'll be all over on of these. The Suzuki Hayabusa 1300:

Mainly becuase of the name. I'd also like to have the japanese wrestler Hyabusha's mask painted onto it somewhere.

yeah the 1974 Honda is a good place to start. I'm thinking of hunting down one of those myself, sometime this summer.

It's best to start out a small when it comes to cruisers. A lot of motorcycle deaths come from some idoit who never woned a motorcycle going out and buying something huge and big. Next thing you know, hes screwed up, and the bike is grinding his leg of in a slide towards a light pole.

  7. That's why I bought the 650. Not too powerful, but enough to get over 100 with some throttle to spare
    Boo, Hiss.

Indeed that is sweet bike...more power than reasonable people would ever need though. If you really want to own the road though, you need one of these:

Dodge Tomahawk 500 HP 0-60 in 2.5 sec

Okay, so technically it has 4 wheels, but still.

  9. I wanna get myself a cheap little crotchrocket this year sometime... The wait is less on the full license (3-6 months as opposed to 5 years for auto license), and it seems cheaper overall. Also by having a bike people won't all beg my ass for rides.

although i wouldn't go as far as to call him an idiot (cause it wasn't his fault), that's pretty much what happen to my friend and is Katana. first bike ever, once month into owning it, well, im sure you guys read the story already.

yeah, personally, i wouldn't buy anything over 600cc. although as far as sports bikes go, i've noticed that everyone has been getting 1000cc and up now.
i don't really care if i can keep up or not. not trying to bea speed demon, just a fun ride. and bikes easily deliver. most fun transportation out there without a dioubt.

so yeah, i think im pretty set on getting the late 70's Honda CB or Suzuki GS, GP, RG. all sweet bikes.

for those of you interested in Suzuki's, this site must be checked out.

it pretty much has pictures of every Suzuki bike ever made.

oh, and for the guy that wants the Hayabusa, dude, that's just insane. it's an insanely beautiful bike. but if it's gonna be your first bike, that's a bad idea if you ask me. even if you can handle it, if it ever dropped...shit, i know i'd cry a bit. besides, you can get a GSX-R for a lot less, and im sure you'd be just as happy with it.
