will you only be able to connect to one other gamecube and play 2 split screens for a total of 8 people? or will you be able to connect to 7 other gamecubes?
not according to most of the people here.Originally posted by Lhadatt
Word-of-mouth will spread. Watch and see. There will be a LOT of people going online with this.
funny thing though, how is it that you guys are so sure that people won't play Mario Kart Online, but can tell us about teachers you know that play Halo Online?

only time will tell.
beh. i still won't buy a broadband adapter because that means i gotta buy a router too. no thanks. i don't need online. i'll just play with friends...
I really hope you're right Lucas, but according to the info you posted yourself, all that's confirmed is a two-Cube link:Originally posted by Lucas Barton

so what's the max players? 8 on 8 Cubes then?Pack eight players into your living room and turn up the fun when you connect two Nintendo GameCubes via the Broadband adaptor.
well, im pretty sure that Nintendo would have support for 1 on 1, 2 on 2, and 3 on 3 player games.
why wouldn't they? that just doesn't make any sense. especially coming from NST. not only am i expecting this from NST, but im expecting a damn rock solid frame rate. i bet it'll run at 30FPS.
Since the LAN will only connect two Cubes, so will the online tunnel.
well, if that's the case... then shit, that sucks.
All the tunnel does is simulate a LAN setup. It tricks the game into thinking that the person you're playing online is actually connected to you through a LAN. That's why it's laggy as hell and not really worth it. Halo online supports 16 players through 4 Xboxs, just like Halo through a LAN.
I would have enjoyed seeing Nintendo partnering with an outlet like Gamespy in the first place. That way they get more traffic to their site and Nintendo gets bragging rights.
