I'm in the same situation and I would be more than willing to take a pay cut for a job I would enjoy.
Keep job, suffer, and make decent money
Find another job, like it, and take a pay cut
I hate my job. I try not to spend any more time than I need to be there, but the money is "ok" for a student such as myself. I work in private country club as a busboy/valet for a good wage plus tips when I valet.
Now, do I stay at my job and make the decent money and suffer, or do I go and find something that I enjoy doing and take a pay cut?

Quit, if the job bothers you that much, just go get another one.
Worked for me.
bottom line: if you are not happy with your job and it affects your life in a negative matter, get out...
you don't get your time on this planet back, make the most of it...
this is exactly what i did, made a world of difference...i can't even put it into words...Originally posted by Regus

Work at something you can enjoy. Negativity from your job will begin to affect your personal life after long enough, and it's not worth it.Originally posted by Shinobi128

If you really don't like the job, quit...

Happiness > Money
I say keep the job you don't like, all jobs are work and they eventually get horrible, you might as well make more money...
What's the alternative?
Being that you have foodservice experience, I'd look into getting a job serving at a more "fun" restaurant. I hated working at stuffier places, but really enjoyed working at Chili's, for example. The money should be commensurate and you *will* work with at least a few attractive girls.
If you quit, don't burn your bridges, as much as you might want to flip the management off. You never know when you might have second thoughts.
that's a negative way to look at things for somebody who probably has never held a full-time job...Originally posted by Box Drink
