My bad, John...but I thought "NOT FOR RESALE" meant exactly that.
actually your all wrong on what these are
first the Gameboy Advance Games
youll notice they are all first party Nintendo games
so what are these you ask
have you ever noticed that nintendo switches out what games are displayed in their GBAs
well when nintendo does this
they take the games back check to make sure they work cross out the not for resale thing and then companies buy them as used games
now about the sealed games selling as used
well when a store is closed or goes out of buisness all of its inventory of new is moved over to used a used sticker is placed over the Barcode (they used to not cut through the shrink wrap when doing it but it caused problems in inventory when people would unwrap them and then forget if it was new or used)
the now used but new game is sent to stores still in buisness to be sold
people need to get their facts straight before throwing around insults and such
this is very true...Originally posted by Shin Johnpv

well yeah it is Not for Resale when Nintendo is using it as a demo unit
but they can do what ever they want with them when they take them back
nintendo is the one who markers over the not for resale thing and then sells them to companies like GS
they come in this nice little bag with that generic book that comes with all GBA games new, and many of them have refurbished stickers on them and a little book in the bag that explains the whole refurbished deal
eventually your going to see alot of Metroid Fusions show up like this cause theyre what are in the SPs right now (least all the SP demo machines ive seen)
its understandable
nintendo puts out a few thousand demo GBAs and such and puts games in them they want to make the money back from them demos some how
id be willing to bet thats where alot of Refurbished systems come from too
probably Demo units that break down Nintendo, Sony, MS, etc take them back fix them up and sell them again as refurbished
I bought a promo of Ico, it was nice to have it a month or so early but I picked up a real copy to support it later, I do it once in a while and I know it's wrong but hey I can't stand the wait.
I'm sure that's true. My PS2, in fact, is a refurb that used to be a Toys R Us demo unit.Originally posted by Shin Johnpv

and i thought this thread had domething to do with copying games.....
We always get this stuff where I work. You get a xbox, gc, ps2 game and on the front of it says not for resale. But we never end up selling them cuz we dont sell used software. Once we put the "not for resale" xbox games Jet set and Sega GT in an xbox for a customer cuz we ran out of the holiday bundle paks. But I wouldnt consider that selling since we gave it to them for free. I dont get why they wouldnt juss give those games away to their employees that what happens when we get free games. Talk about cheapos.
